Worked a few more hours tonight. The background texture is done
and the leaves are getting their final shaping and sanding before they are
textured.

Started on the finish carving today and began to burn in the background texture.

The initial rough carving continues and I am adding some small pieces in areas to strengthen the grain direction and to allow for added depth in the carving.

I started this piece early in the month (March ,2015). The  hollow form was turned on the lathe, design drawn and the rough carving is underway. More to follow soon....
